The government is seeking views on a potential modification to the 2 unitary proposal for the reorganisation of local government in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

The proposed unitary proposal will merge Wealden, Eastbourne, Lewes, Rother and Hastings all into one unitary authority.
Questions from residents have been raised regarding the impact this could have on council tax, In particular, those across the Wealden District who are currently paying the least council tax across East Sussex.
